As usual, Menten will share All-Inkl.com Reiter’s Lamborghini Murciélago R-GT #8 with his fellow countryman Peter Kox. As for the GT3 heats, Menten will join rookie Marius Ritskes on a Lamborghini Gallardo GT3.

The fifth race of the Championship should end the streak of bad luck which Jos Menten and Peter Kox encountered in the beginning of the season. In Monza everything looked good, with Kox claiming a spot on the front row, but after the car failed scrutineering the Dutch duo had to start from the last row: “Vibrations were created when taking some of the curbstones, and this loosened the wing. A problem with the transmission kept us out of the points in the race”, says Menten. “The team has done everything within its power to get the car in perfect shape for Oschersleben. The track lay-out should suit our Lamborghini. There are lots of variations of corners. It’s a place where the set up is very important. If we can get the set up right we could be battling with the top five, as in Monza.”
In Oschersleben Jos Menten will make his debut in the ADAC GT3 Masters. Together with his fellow countryman Marius Ritskes, Menten will spur a Lamborghini Gallardo GT3. The same car that was on pole position for the Belcar Midsummer Race last week. Ritskes amused the Belgian crowd by keeping Anthony Kumpen and Stéphane Lémeret behind him during the first twenty minutes of the race: “Last week Marius surprised quite some people in Belgium. During the Belcar Midsummer Race he was able to stay in front of Kumpen and Lémeret. He showed the world that he is a talented driver… maybe we can come up with a few surprises”, concludes Menten.
