All-Inkl.com Reiter Lamborghini was present with three cars for the media launch of the FIA GT Championship (22-23 February 2007) in Monza, Italy. Jos Menten was the only driver behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Murciélago R-GT #8. His fellow countryman Peter Kox was unable to attend the test session due to other commitments. Unfortunately All-Inkl.com Reiter Lamborghini had to abandon the test session after a crash at the end of the first day, but the team gathered a lot of useful data.

Although it was Jos Menten’s first visit to Monza, the Dutchman clocked the third fastest lap time on day one: “We can look back on a good shakedown. We were not able to complete our test scheme with the new aerodynamic package but we are happy with the results. The car feels good and it offers a lot of grip. I am happy with my lap time but it could have been faster since we were not focussing on the lap times. Unfortunately our test day came to an early end because of a crash”, says Jos Menten.
Christophe Bouchut, Stephane Mücke, Marc Basseng and Albert von Thurn und Taxis completed the testing duties with the other Lamborghini’s on Friday.
“As a result of the crash I was not able to have a lot of track time but I have confidence in the car and my lap times were competitive. I am convinced that we have a strong package with the Lamborghini and the Michelin tyres”, concludes Menten.
